We are offering a very special exclusive weekend for 25 guests in a beautiful barn near Horsham, West Sussex. A weekend retreat of nurturing, healing, self-care and forgiveness. It will be a space of learning about the therapeutic value of nature; of re-connecting and nurturing ourselves; and of taking time out in a beautiful location to invigorate our sense of purpose to be with ourselves and learn about the power of loving-kindness and forgiveness.
Walking in the South Downs with renowned author David Bathurst. David has walked all the complete National Trails of Great Britain as well as the Coast to Coast Walk, the entire south coast of England, the highest points of all the English counties and the peaks of England, Wales and Scotland and is a renowned author.
During this retreat, we will join David on a number of walks which are likely to include parts of the West Sussex Literary Trail which starts in Horsham and which according to David, ("The Great Walks of Sussex”) is a “fine walk blessed with some very splendid villages, towns and historic buildings".
During the wellbeing retreat you will:
- Enjoy the beauty of nature in the midst of the outstanding South Down with author David Bathurst
- Enjoy periods of silence in the midst of nature
- Practice group work, guided meditations, discussions and mindfulness and forgiveness practices
- Stargaze with very little light pollution
- Visit the historic town of Arundel with its amazing castle and cathedral
- Enjoy home-cooked meals by a professional chef.

A Commitment - From Dr. Butler
I am a commitment to our Collective Smile. Oddly worded (I know), However, this phrasing emphasizes the active nature of purpose. Our collective SMILE, is the essence of my presence, the WHY of my existence. Through liberated listening, curating healing experiences, facilitation, teaching and sacred storytelling, I have grown in my understanding of the power of collective Joy, Healing, Justice and Wellbeing. This is how I work. I am the Founder and Executive Director of The Well for Life and New Visions of The Well. I am the Associate Program Director at the University of South Florida's Family Study Center, serving as Principle Investigator on the Reckoning with Race project and adjunct professor. I am a previous organizer and Senior Manager, for a national social justice organization, focused on safety solution centering survivor narratives. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Qualified Supervisor (LMHC-QS) and a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (CDWF), with extensive training in reflective supervision, spiritual, cultural and communal healing strategies; specialized trauma treatment interventions (CPP, EMDR, ART, Somatic Abolition & General Somatic Experiencing); and restorative justice practices.

We want to enter into a wholehearted relationship as co-producers and collaborators in the transformation of ourselves and our world.
