About The Event

9th May 2024

Rosemarie Graham

Rosemarie is a small business owner who has been self-employed for 17 years.

Before setting up her business, she worked as a Social Worker, Probation Officer and Practice Assessor in the public sector.

During her time as a probation officer and managing daily life stresses, it became apparent to her that a work-life balance was important.  The death of her father led her to a healing touch, and she became interested in reflexology. She trained as a Complementary Therapist in 2002 and has expanded her knowledge over the years, offering a range of massages, reflexology, facials, meditation and reiki healing.

Her therapy practice took her into Neals Yard Remedies and increased her general interest in using organic and natural products. After a foot operation in 2015, she decided to do some more research. She formulated her skincare brand, which consists of whipped shea body butter, scrubs, natural deodorants, facial oils, etc. She also sells well-being products such as backflow burners, orgonite pendulums, and affirmation cards.

Over the years, she has traded at various ethical events, and this has enabled her to gain a good understanding and experience in setting up and hosting her own Cultural Market Events, which she has been hosting since 2022. The markets primarily aim to promote small black-owned businesses that offer quality handmade and artisan products linked to the Caribbean or African diaspora.
